Discover your Purpose

Create your Path

When you create something the thing you change the most is yourself.

We started Design Tech@Oracle because we believe that the purpose of school is not to get better at school; it’s for students to make a difference in the world and find their purpose in the process.

And now we are opening up our school to the world so that more students can experience the programs that led to Wired Magazine calling us Silicon Valley’s Ultimate Incubator. We are now giving students everywhere access to our innovation certificate and career building internship programs.

We are different from other extra curricular programs because we aren’t trying to hack the college admissions system and give you the perfect item for your resume that will get you into the perfect college; we’ll leave that to the boot camps and the pricey college admissions counselors.

But when you experience one of our programs you will develop:

  • A way to think about the world and problems that will allow you to adapt to any situation.

  • A sense of who you are which can anchor you in an unpredictable, ever changing world.

  • Increased analytical and creative thinking skills (the top skill employers are looking for).

  • A community of like-minded people, and a Linked In connection with an industry mentor.

  • Confidence and skills to thrive in an unstable world.

  • A purpose and the tools to find your path.

"Design thinking is structured to constantly help you overcome barriers. Whether that is by changing the direction or the end goal to better satisfy your users or moving up a time line, you're better suited and adapted to overcoming the challenges that might come along."

Isabella, Diploma Student

Although we are not promising a way to hack the college admissions process, we know that college is probably in your future, so, if you do take what you learned from our program and head off to college that’s great, but know that you’re going to experience college differently than your peers will.

You will be more likely to:

  • Stay in college (our college persistence rates always exceed the national average, most recently they were 97% and 96%, so that’s pretty much everyone).

  • Find cool things to do in college (we have two alumni who joined the Forbes 30 under 30 list while they were in college).

If you are adaptable and anchored in purpose, the whole college experience is better, except for maybe living in a triple dorm room and using the communal bathrooms; we can’t fix those problems, and we don’t want to. We think they build character.

You will leave our program as an anchored, adaptable, confident, creative, purpose-driven person with a mindset and skillset to draw from when life is at its most unpredictable. We believe this is much better than having a few tricks to help you stand out from the crowd in your college applications.
